Our Alaska salmon fishing tours take place on private land accessible only by boat -- there are no other landowners, roads, or airports to interrupt the quiet environment. The Austin's salmon fishing tours also are free from costly fly outs that would result in a more costly, as well as regimented vacation.

While other parts of Alaska are experiencing increasingly limited salmon runs, our 30 years of operation as the only Alaska fishing lodge on the river has paid off in yearly, predictable solid runs of each species. We believe that operating in small groups not only adds to our guests’ experience, but more importantly it limits our interference in the natural processes of the lands we utilize.

Our private and comfortable Alaska fishing lodge sits just 300 yards from the mouth of the Golsovia River on Norton Sound which is on the shores of the Bering Sea. The river is abundant in King, Silver, Pink and Chum Salmon. Feisty and fresh from the ocean, they can be seen as they pass within an easy cast of your fly or lure. Arctic Char also call this pristine paradise home. Daily catches commonly exceed 30 - 40 during the summer runs, however in order to sustain the rivers plentiful numbers, we practice catch & release once limits have been reached. June through August is peak time for your optimal Alaska salmon fishing experience.

No other Alaska fishing lodge in Western Alaska offers the kind of all-inclusive, weeklong trophy fly fishing and salmon fishing adventure. In addition, few Alaska fishing guides can offer a level of experience and tales on par with Jerry Austin. As an Iditarod Hall of Fame Inductee, often described as "The last great race on earth," Jerry brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience.
